Start Strong
Most coffee doesn’t hit. This does.
Most coffee today is built to be easy.
Easy to drink. Easy to mask. Easy to forget.
That’s why it’s loaded with syrups, foam, and flavors, because the coffee itself can’t carry the weight.
I grew up around something different.
ROOTS
I’m from Long Khánh, Việt Nam, where coffee isn’t a trend, it’s part of life.
I remember watching my uncle water the coffee trees under the heat.
After harvest, the beans were laid out on tarps, drying in the hot, humid air.
Coffee was everywhere.
On side streets.
In small shops.
In quiet hammock cafés where time slowed down.
It was always brewed strong. Always intentional.
CONTRAST
Years later, I found myself in Seattle—the coffee capital.
But most of what I drank felt off.
No real kick. No depth.
More like a vanilla drink than actual coffee.
It made me realize something:
Most coffee isn’t built to stand on its own.
TURNING POINT
Then in Hà Nội, I had egg coffee for the first time.
It was bold. Rich. Layered.
Completely different from anything I had tasted before.
That moment brought everything back—the strength, the depth, the way coffee was supposed to feel.
REALIZATION
I started paying attention after that.
Every time someone tried Vietnamese coffee for the first time, they had the same reaction—Surprised. Hooked.
Because it actually hits.
BELIEF
Most coffee today is built for comfort—not strength.
Vietnamese coffee is different.
Robusta beans carry more caffeine and body.
The phin brew slows everything down, extracting deeper flavor.
Strong enough to drink black.
Strong enough to hold up with milk, ice, or foam.
WHY DZÔ
I didn’t start DZÔ just to sell coffee.
I saw the gap.
People were drinking coffee every day—but rarely experiencing it at its full strength.
I saw what happened when they did.
So I built DZÔ to bring that experience forward.
Not watered down.
Not dressed up.
Just real coffee, done right.
MISSION
DZÔ Coffee exists to push coffee back to what it should be—Stronger. Bolder. More intentional.
Rooted in Vietnamese culture.
Built for how people actually live today.
